Double tier metal lockers are designed to accommodate twice the number of users in the same amount of floor space as single tier lockers and are commonly used in condos, fitness centers, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, resorts, schools and warehouses. We only acquire used lockers that are high quality to begin with, have been engineered for optimal performance and will withstand years of continual use.
These are the typical features we look for and that you will find with most of our used double tier metal lockers:
- DOORS: With 16 gauge metal doors and 16 gauge reinforced welded channel frames, these are guaranteed to be as tough as they come. We inspect and repair or replace each and every moving component of our used locker doors in order to restore them to full functionality and ensure that they open and close perfectly.
- HANDLES: Stainless steel concave handles that look great and are catch-free to do away with protrusions from the face of the locker door
- HOOKS: One two pronged ceiling hook and two single wall hooks for hanging bags, clothing, outerwear and other belongings
- LOCK OPTIONS: Accept multiple locker lock types--built-in combination locks, built-in key locks, coin-operated locks, combination padlocks, digital locks and keyed padlocks. Some were originally made to accept only one type of lock, either the built-in style or padlocks, which will be clearly noted and indicated in the specific product description.
- BASES: Most of the used lockers we sell don't have legs because they were previously installed on concrete or wood bases. They do have a solid 1" frame underneath them, but we still highly recommend providing some sort of additional base for them. 4" high bases are the most common, and we recommend using either a concrete curb, metal base or wood base.
- LATCHING: Two-point latching helps keep locker contents safe and secure
- VENTILATION: Vents or louvers in the doors promote ventilation and air flow for the contents inside. If you need a higher degree of ventilation or the ability to visually see the lockers' contents, take a look at our Gym Lockers.
- NUMBER PLATES: Most come with number plates, but they most likely won't be in sequence. We do have number plates in stock and can provide or install new numbers sequentially for a minimal upcharge. Keep in mind that if we do install the number plates prior to shipment, you will need to put your lockers in the correct order once they arrive.
- HINGES: Either continuous piano hinges or four heavy duty, double spun, full loop, tight pin, five-knuckle hinges per column
- CONTINUOUS DOOR STRIKES: Full-length door stop flanges keep latches and frames from getting damaged due to repeated door slamming
- PAINTING: All lockers will be originally coated in either a durable baked enamel or powder coated premium paint process that provides an attractive, durable and scratch-resistant finish.
- QUIET FEATURES: Rubber bumpers and nylon glides dampen sounds and facilitate flawless operation
NOTE: Any upgraded features or exceptions to the specifications listed above will be clearly indicated on the specific locker listing.
