They include plenty of vertical hanging space for athletic gear (such as clothing, equipment, football helmets and shoulder pads), and patrons are able to use the bottom to store bags, books, hats and other personal items. Most of the double tier athletic lockers we sell include the following key features:
- DOORS: Super heavy duty 14 gauge doors with diamond-shaped perforations for maximum ventilation
- BODY CONSTRUCTION: 16 gauge diamond-perforated sides and 16 gauge solid steel tops and bottoms--making them incredibly strong and durable to withstand the harsh locker room environment
- VENTILATION: Diamond-shaped perforations provide the maximum amount of ventilation and air circulation possible, helping gym clothes, uniforms, swimming suits, etc. to dry out quickly, thereby lessening the sweaty, musty smells commonly associated with changing rooms and locker rooms.
- HANGING FEATURES: One double prong ceiling hook and two single wall hooks, providing plenty of vertical space for hanging bags, hats, clothing and other belongings
- HANDLES: Stainless steel recessed handles that are catch-free and eliminate protrusions from the locker door face
- LOCK OPTIONS: Accept multiple types of locker locks, including built-in combination locks, built-in key locks, coin-operated locks, combination padlocks, digital locks and keyed padlocks. Some were originally made to only accept one certain type of lock (normally a built-in style or padlock), but if that is the case it will clearly be indicated in the specific locker listing.
- BASES: Most were formerly installed on wood or concrete bases and don't come with legs. They do have a solid 1" frame underneath them and can be set directly on the floor, but we recommend providing some sort of base to keep them elevated, protected from the elements, and make it easier to reach the contents inside. We recommend installing a 4" high base that is made out of wood, metal or concrete curb.
- CONTINUOUS DOOR STRIKES: Full-length door stop flanges prevent damage to latches and frames from repeated shutting (or sometimes slamming) of the door
- HINGES: Either continuous piano hinges or four heavy duty, double spun, full loop, tight pin, five-knuckle hinges per column
- LATCHING: Secure two-point latching prevents prying and keeps belongings safe and secure
- NUMBER PLATES: Most have number plates, but they are probably not in sequential order. If you would like yours to be numbered in order, we have number plates in stock and can either install or provide them for you for a slight upcharge. If we do install the number plates before we ship your lockers to you, keep in mind that you will have to place them in the correct order once they arrive.
- PAINTING: All will have been originally painted using a premium powder coated process that provides an attractive, durable, scratch-resistant finish.
- QUIET FEATURES: Nylon glides and rubber bumpers minimize noise and provide for a smooth, flawless operation
